At intraHouse, we’re launching a new tool for Smart Cities that facilitates innovation, communication, collaboration and management of smart city projects in relation to the UN SDGs and GDPR.

SaaS solution, intra.work, is an intranet and extranet, a social platform that keeps all smart city project management in one, safe place in the cloud, accessible via a desktop and iOS and Android apps. Think of intra.work as Workplace meets LinkedIn meets Slack, only with greater flexibility including single sign on for all groups, communities, companies and chapters, and the possibility to check compliance with the UN SDGs and GDPR.

Made in Norway at intraHouse HQ in Ålesund, intra.work is already the preferred choice of forward thinking organizations with a link to the smart city space who recognize the value and importance of a private and flexible online environment.

One such organization is Open Innovation Lab of Norway, which is a membership organization for Norway’s top innovators from multiple sectors including banking, IT and the public sector.

Starting this week, Executive Growth Alliance – a membership organization that accelerates business leaders’ future-readiness through collaboration and application of insights to real-world challenges and opportunities for innovation from Silicon Valley, Norway and the world – will use intra.work for its Oslo chapter, with others joining in 2020.

intraHouse first started working on innovations for smart cities 20 years ago, with by.com (because ‘by’ means city in Norwegian) and began offering solutions for Norwegian municipalities. We went on to work with businesses of all sizes from small startups to global giant Cisco, to who we were a preferred vendor for mobile.

Last year, we were focused on a smart city initiative for a US company, whose ambitious idea was to provide a platform to unite municipality and citizens, while promoting local businesses and offering a digital wallet with fiat and crypto currencies. We made the citizen engagement platform, where residents and visitors could come together to chat, share, fundraise, organize and manage events and much more. Unfortunately, DigitalTown ran into financial difficulties and has not been able to roll out its project.

Our experience in the smart city space is vast and covers SaaS solutions for project management to ecommerce to citizen engagement and we’re looking forward to offering intra.work as the solution for innovative smart city management.

Watch this space for the new version of intra.work going live this autumn offering even greater functionality and a contemporary, cool design!
