IntraSpider search solution

IntraHouse bases its search services on IntraSpider technology. IntraSpider was accomplished in 1999. It was developed to monitor the all news in real time. At that time, it was not possible for major search engines to be “large” and at the same time can monitor the news web sites in a useful way.

Most search solutions were dependent on starting with one site and then attending to all links it finds on entire web sites. In addition, the search engine had to go through all sites to find out whether one or several pages were updated since their last visit. With IntraSpider, the web-based newspapers could be monitored and indexed much more efficiently. In 1999, we signed a contract with Microsoft to integrate the “Nytt.net” search solution in all Norwegian editions of Internet Explorer.

CNN NORWAY and VG.no used a traditional search solution on their web sites. In 2000, they chose to go over to IntraSpider. In 2002, TV2.no chose to let IntraSpider index their web site. In 2003, NRK.no did the same, and in 2004, Aftenposten.no and Bergens Tidende chose IntraSpider as well! Because of this, we are very proud to provide this solution.
